Blogphemia

For over two years I held back from creating a blog because I always thought that there was no point having one when I did not have enough time for it. There was always so much going on and I thought I’d never be able to do justice to it. Then one fine day, I just realized that there is never a good time anyway. Its either now or never. And so I just went ahead with it. And am I glad I did! Just knowing that I have a blog out there pushes me to write. Every ten days my fingers start to itch, the otherwise passive writing pad seems to be calling out to me from my bedside table. Its almost an illness with real symptoms. They should have a name for it - blogphemia, may be. So no matter how much I need to study or how tough my exam the next day is, I just take out some time to write about some random thing. My next post is actually going to be about insects! I have three other incomplete articles too that I need to finish and put up. And I soon will.

Meanwhile I am also watching a lot of old English movies (when I say old, I really mean the nineties) and trying to compile a list of the top ten romantic comedies of all time. I know my Number 1 is going to be Love Actually, but not really sure about the rest (Can’t promise you Notting Hill, Swap ;)) Because I want to play fair and because Hugh Grant has a knack of messing with my head and jinxing me into believing that only his movies are good, any suggestions are happily invited. So long!

Welcome back to Bloggerville :) So to speak :)

Romantic movies, you've got mail, sound of music, ps- i love you, gone with the wind, a walk to remember, while you were sleeping are some of my favorites. Hugh Grant - Very Cute !!!

Cheers,
adisha

@Swaps - I really think its wonderful what you do... and because you've started, you work on it. That's whats needed most - the initial nudge, the rest just falls into place.

@Ankit - I know, its real fun. Maybe someday when I develop an interest for action flicks, I'll seek your help. Although I don't see that happening for a long long time ;)

@Adisha - Oh thanks Adisha. We have pretty similar taste by the way. Haven't seen 'while you were sleeping' yet, but love the rest!

@Mohit - Oh yeah, I totally loved that movie. Its kinda arty, the background score is great. Although it doesn't really fall under the category of 'comedy'.

Hmmm.. Want to download loads of movies for vacations, and I never like to read reviews before watching movies, it's like u know the movie before watching and that kills the unexpected part in the movie. I always watch movies that my friends recommend.. So eagerly waiting for the list!!

well if they don't have to be 'English', there's some brilliant Mexican, Korean, French (of course) one's I can think of.

though...you know...IS kinda lame to be firstly straitjacketing one's taste with genres (convenient but stupid) and then feeling the need to prepare a list!

no oppench.

nice few entries. Wouldn't mind stumbling again.

@Chriz - I do, just thought I'd compile only Rom Coms for now. One genre at a time!

@Apoorv - Do stumble by again.

Just came across your blog through Adisha's, and I read your comment about how you've moved around a lot - I'm on that same boat! Went to 3 different high schools, different countries, etc, and let me just say as tough as it was moving around so much, it was also so worthwhile because of all the different people I got a chance to meet. :)

Anyway, getting to your post...Love Actually is one of my favorite movies! :) And have you ever watched 'Prime'? I absolutely heart that one too. Always makes for a good DVD night, but then again, most movies with eye candy do right?
